Facial lines and folds can be treated with both Botox and Xeomin. However, they differ in their composition. Xeomin is formulated without any added proteins, while Botox contains them.

The side effects of treatment are minimal. While no long-term side effects have been observed, slight bruising, headache, or temporary eyelid droop can occur but tend to go away within a few days.

Some medications, like blood thinners and NSAIDS, can increase the risk of bruising at the injection site, so it is best to avoid them for 1 week before your treatment.
It is also best to avoid alcohol for 72 hours before treatment and caffeine the day of, as you can experience more bruising or redness.

Xeomin Vs. Botox
Xeomin and Botox are both utilized for treating frown lines with botulinum toxin as their primary ingredient. However, the significant difference lies in the type of botulinum toxin used; Xeomin applies a "naked" botulinum toxin that lacks accessory proteins in the active component. Clinical trials have proven that both treatments are effective for wrinkle removal, but Xeomin has the edge over Botox as it does not contain protein additives, which may trigger antibody resistance to treatment. This attribute allows Xeomin to work faster and last longer in some patients, as there are no antibodies to break down the toxin quicker.
